This is the last week of the first trimester, and the risk of miscarriage is now much lower than before. Next week marks the beginning of the second trimester, a time of relative comfort when many women feel the early signs of pregnancy such as morning sickness and fatigue have subsided.

In addition, many women notice a substantial increase in libido during this time. The delivery date is still far away, but moms’ breasts may have begun producing colostrum, the highly nutritious fluid that the baby will be fed for the first few days after birth.
